Definition of Marketing Planning

Making the marketing plan is an important aspect in understanding the marketing system. Marketing system to identify components in each interaction, both internally and externally for the company, allowing the company to sell a product or service to market. Environment (external and internal) play an important role in the development of marketing plans. Thus, environmental analysis will give a preliminary view to the preparation of marketing plans.

Definition of Marketing Planning

Planning is the process of determining exactly what will be done the organization to achieve its objectives. Planning can also be defined as the systematic development of a program of action aimed at achieving the business objectives that have been agreed with the process of analysis, evaluation, selection among opportunities that predicted in advance.

Marketing Planning objectives

Organizational planning has two purposes, namely protection and agreements (protective and affirmative). Protective intent is to minimize risk by reducing uncertainty about business conditions and explain the consequences of managerial actions associated. Affirmative goal is to increase the level of organizational success. In addition, the purpose of planning is to establish a coordinated effort within the organization. Absence of planning is usually accompanied by the absence of coordination and the emergence inefficiency.
However, the fundamental purpose of planning is to help the organization achieve its objectives. Planning intention is "to expedite the achievement of effort and purpose". Another purpose of the marketing plan revolves around the fundamental purpose of this.

Planning: Potential Advantages

Program planning has many advantages. First, it helps entrepreneurs oriented to the future. Entrepreneurs are forced to look out of the normal daily problem for projecting what they will face in the future. Secondly, the coordination of the decision. Decisions should not be made now without tenting idea how is going to affect the decisions to be made tomorrow.

Planning function helps entrepreneurs in their efforts to coordinate decisions. Third, the plan emphasizes the organizational goals. Due to organizational goals is the starting point of planning, entrepreneurs are constantly reminded of what their organization wants to achieve.
